Director Michael Beeston says.......
."2011 marked my 40th anniversary as a member of  the Edinburgh Quartet.  For 25 of those years I provided artistic direction and advice to its administrators.  The Quartet's continuation, security and international success was my professional passion during that time.
"My decision to leave at this landmark moment  enables me to explore a different repertoire, developing relationships with many of the guest artists and composers with whom I have worked.  The viola sits proudly within a wide range of colourful and sometimes rarely heard instrumental formations from string duos to small orchestral forces.
"Experience as Music Director of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, Assistant Director of the Mendelssohn on Mull Festival and in Universities, Music Societies and Festivals the world over convinces me that organisation, communication and inspiration are all vital elements in producing a successful event."
Please feel free to browse the website, especially our extensive
repertoire page.  If you see something that interests you, or indeed if you have an idea for a particular piece(s), or a theme for a concert, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to sharing this extraordinary repertoire with you!
